Sam's Big Fall

Sam is a climber and he is fearless. On Tuesday August 4th he had a big fall off the kitchen counter. He's climbed up on the counter before, he doesn't even use a chair and puts his feet on top of the drawers and pulls himself up. I get him down and tell him no climbing you'll get hurt. Well, that is what happened and he got hurt really bad. He was screaming and he had a mouth full of blood. I grabbed a towel and gave him the once over trying to locate the source of the blood. I looked and he had all teeth his nose looked ok then he stuck out his tongue and I noticed a large hole in the middle. I called the pediatrician and they said if the hole is big enough for food to get trapped then he needs to go to the ER and have it stitched. I called Gordon can't get a hold of him. I had a text sent. I knew it would be hard to love Sam and take care of the baby in the ER so I called my sister-in-law Sonya and my niece Lynlee came over to watch the boys. I am so grateful they were able to help out and know that the baby was being taken care of since we were in the ER for over 4 hours.

I got a hold of Gordon and he was with his Regional Manager in Park City. I would call him from the ER. The Dr. gave Sam a sedative then they papoosed him and he started screaming. I held my own until he called Mamma, Mamma and I started crying. He was so wiggly the Dr. had a hard time stitching, I glanced over and noticed his front teeth were bloody and they just looked wrong. The front 3 bottom teeth were lying flat towards his lips. They stopped tryingt to stitch saying the damage was more severe than they thought and needed to call a dentist. I called Gordon and it took me a minute before I could talk. All I could get out was "I need you its bad."
The Dr. said there was avulsion of his bottom 3 teeth with gingival laceration. I had 2 different dentist opinion and both said my options were to try to re-seed the teeth or take them out. Re-seeding may or may not work and he would have to have root cananls on all 3. The first tooth on the left you see in the picture was loose as well but it stayed upright. But it may have problems later.

The lines in the picture are the stitches. They started an IV for the anesthia and it took a lot for him to relax. The Dr. said he was a stubborn one. He tried to bite the Dr while he was under. It was like watching a horror film. The body was eerie still arms in mid-air and eyes wide open but eyelids and tonuge twitching. It was freaky and I never want to see that again. Icried and rubbed his legs hoping he knew mamma was there and praying that he would be ok. The nurse said Sam wouldn't remember anything.
Where the top lip hits his tongue it is raised a bit this is where the hole was in the middle but he bit all the way across his tongue. His tongue looks way better than it did. Everytime he opened his mouth I would cringe and cry. He's doing OK now. He wakes up 1 or 2 times at night screaming and he kicks, hits and throws things in pain and frustration. His word "watch" is now more like "wash."
Sorry the video is dark.

Money, Money, Money

Parker thought it was his lucky day when he lost his top tooth. I've been trying to pull both of his top teeth for several days now but no go. We've tried biting apples and tonight he brushed his teeth a little too hard and one fell out. I know Mother's are supposed to be loving and supportive but come on look at his teeth. I had to take a close-up of his "redneck" teeth. I'm saying silent prayers that he will soon loose the other two top jacked up ones. Gordon told him that he would get more money from the tooth fairy if he lost two teeth at once. So here he is trying to get the other money making tooth. The more teeth that come out the more money I get.

IT WORKED!!! The ToothFairy did not forget this time. How much did the ToothFairy give? A $1.25 a tooth. He scored $2.50 that night and bright and early (6:00 A.M.) he was nudging me asking if we could go to the store and buy Pokemon cards.
Oh Happy Day for Parker! He scored, I swear when I was a kid losing my teeth I got a quarter. I guess the government isn't the only one hiking up prices.

Sew Cute!

My sisters got their sew on so I thought I would post my latest projects for my new bundle of joy. I made this car seat canopy tent instead of using a blanket to cover the baby. It has velcro straps so it won't blow off and it protects baby from sun, wind, rain and people touching.
The underside is brown with blue polka dots.

Isn't my baby so cute sporting his new car seat cover.
I made this whole baby set burp cloth, pee-teepee and minky blanket. First time I actually used a blanket binding.
These are the funniest. The pee-pee teepee or sprinkle cap. Yes, for the you know what. Baby boys are unpredictable it's best to be prepared. Easy project and handy for the first month.

Introducing Baby Boy #4

We added another boy to our family on Tuesday June 30 at 2:10 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and is 19 inches long. He and Parker weighed the same at birth so maybe he'll grow solid like Parker. Dylan was the biggest at 7 lbs 14 oz and he is my smallest boy. Go figure. Sam was the longest at 20 inches. Anyways drum roll please............... his name is
LOGAN DAVID THOMPSON
surprise I know! Being our last baby I had a hard time deciding. Thanks Doc for the instinct pep talk. My Dr. told me to go with my gut feeling so I did.
He was vampire pale when he came out I thought I had gotten bitten by Edward.

He has lots of dark hair, but it looks like it will lighten up like Sam's did. Mommy, Baby and Daddy are all doing ok. We had a scare with him after my water broke his heart rate dropped dangerously low and my Dr. called for backup and the OR was on stand-by for a c-section because I was only dilated to a 6. Gordon had left to get lunch and the nurse asked me where he could be reached she wanted him there ASAP. There were lots of nurses just waiting. I was trying to keep from crying. My Mom walked in on the excitement unsure what was going on. Then Gordon came in and saw my Mom crying and me scared and he said I was only gone for 20 minutes and chaos breaks out. He held my hand and I started crying. After many minutes and moving positions, replacing machine cords baby decided to cooperate and his heart rate improved. When he came out the cord was wrapped around his neck resulting in all the drama.

My cute boys. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
Sam gets grumpy when we let his brothers have a turn holding baby Logan. Sam goes nose to nose with Logan and says "hi baby" over and over. We found him hanging over the port a crib trying to take his hat off to rub his head.
We are all doing well. But I did miss having my camera girls (sisters) in the delivery room with us. Gordon stepped it up and took some great shots. We'll see how our first night at home goes.
Logan thanks for coming to our family. WE love you.

Momma's new ride

This is my long awaited Momma mobile. We can pick it up in a couple days. Gordon said he would never own one. Never say Never!! Like a good husband he's buying what his wife wants.

We are having a must needed DVD player (Parker & Dylan requested a movie in their car). Like they don't get enough TV time at home. It will be so great for a rode trip to Boise next weeekend. It is hard to share the 7" one between all 3. Now Parker and Dylan can watch their own movie if they want. I am so excited to have more space and so are the boys. Leather seats, automatic sliding doors, rear air, 8 seats and a reversing camera.

We have 6 weeks to go before baby "Ranger" comes to the family and I was starting to get nervous that we weren't going to have a car for him. But, it all worked out. When Momma's happy everybody's happy!!

R or no R that is the ?????

7 months pregnant. I now have 8 or 9 weeks left but who's counting? Pregnancy has been good for the most part I get a lot of back aches and heart burn. Heart burn is a sign of a head full of hair. Just like Sam hopefully. We do have baby name issues.

Gordon, Parker, Dylan and Sam all have a middle name that starts with R. Gordon is convinced that this baby boy will feel left out if he doesn't have a middle name that starts with R. I don't want to do R again. I really didn't want to do R with Sam but Gordon did so I let him pick it. No we haven't decided on a first name. I have to get this middle name issue resolved.

Basically what I need to decide is if I don't give him an R name will he have 1 more thing to blame his parents for when he talks to his therapist? Isn't that the excuse for adults "it all started in childhood, it's my parents fault?"

Use the poll and vote. Will this hurt his pysche? I mean the other 3 were born in August and he's hopefully going to be born in June so already he's different. Maybe he won't feel left out if we name him August. August Rush!!! That's it that's the name! Thanks for the Love. VOTE!!!

Bath Time

I was getting the bath ready for Dylan and when I went to get him Sam thought he would also take a bath, fully clothed. He loves baths and showers. Sometimes he has two a day. A shower with Daddy in the morning and one at night with Parker and Dylan.
If Mom won't undress me I'll get in anyways!!

I love SPLASHING!!!
MOM I'm all clean! Where's Dylan?
I LOVE THIS CUTE BOY!!!
