Baby No More!

Logan had his first haircut. It has been driving Gordon crazy, and I have been reluctant to let the baby hair go. We suprised him on his dayoff. Here are some pictures before the cut.

Parker and I loved his little curls. When we were in Arizona for Thanksgiving he took Sam and Logan in a store and people don't him his baby girl was adorable. He wants people to know Logan is a boy. I told him it's his fault he gave me all boys and I'm just working with what I got. Logan is cute enough to be a girl! Now pretty boy is more fitting.

He sat in the chair like a big boy. He didn't cry or fidget. He was as good as gold.

Sweet boy, say goodbye to your golden locks. I did put a curl in a ziplock. If I ever get around to scrapbooking his baby years i'll put it in there.

This is the after cut. Lots shorter, she finger cut it instead of using clippers. I'm not ready for the buzz cut yet.

Mommy's angel! Sad to see the baby hair go becuase it makes them loose their baby look. Since he is my last baby boy I wanted to hold onto it as long as I could.

A proud Daddy to have a "son" again.

Best present to me

Happy Birthday to me!!! My Mom always asks every year "do you feel a year older?" I definately feel 1 year older this year. The best present is Gordon is out of the hospital. I love him and was scared at the thought of losing him when I realized how serious this is. Gordy had been sick for a week and starting coughing up blood on Thursday. We thought he was congested and coughing hard made him have traces of blood. Well, each day it was worse. He went back to the Dr. on Friday and they said he had Bronchitis and a stomach ulcer, hence the blood. Saturday we went to Parker's football game, he was still coughing and sore. He thought he was sore from the heavy coughing. Saturday night at 8:00 he was in a lot of pain, his arm tingled he was sweating and couldn't catch his breath. We rushed him to the E.R. We really freaked the kids out when we rushed him to the hospital Saturday night. After 5 hours in the

E. R. we found out he had pulmonary emboli. He is home now and doing well. I give him a Lovenex shot twice a day in the "love handles" and he will be on Warfarin for at least 6 months. But that is manageable. We were very lucky. Heavenly Father was watching out for us. His family was in town to see Parker's football game and we are very grateful that they were here to help us and keep the kids and us calm.

Thank you all for your prayers and love. We have felt it and are grateful there are people who care about us.

Sorry Sam

I know I am months after the fact but at the end of August after Dylan's birthday I was spent. Poor Sam's birthday was 4 days later and I couldn't keep up. Football and school had started and the hours rolled into days and now it's October. Maybe by Thanksgiving I'll get around to writing about Parker's baptism. Mother's guilt I still want to do a shout out to my Sammy Whammy in case I ever do one of the blog books he'll be in it. (I know you have to update a blog to have a blog book). Anyways, Sam is now 3 and I am glad to be out of the 2's. Not because they are supposedly the terrible two's but because it was a rough year for him. He got a new baby brother just before he turned two and 3 weeks before his birthday he had his great fall and lost 3 teeth. Here's hoping the 3's are uneventful and emergency room free.
Sam is such a happy boy. He had so much hair. He's 6 weeks old and he needs gel.

Oh my sweet Sam he was such a trooper. It only added more character to him and his speech is fine. I have to love on him everyday because he is so dang cute and loveable.

Daddy's boy hardcore. If he gets hurts while Gordon and I are together I'll stand up and go to him and he runs right past me to his Daddy. H eloves playing football with the boys. He's always on Dad's team (no suprise). We go old school and use socks for flags.

This was one of those naughty moments when he got curious with a black magic marker. What was he doing with marker? I had a newborn who knows what he got into. Sam you brighten up everyroom and I love you to the moon and back!!!

Happy 6th Birthday Dylan

Happy Birthday Dylan!! Can't believe you are six years old and going into 1st grade. This blonde hair blue eyed boy loves to ride his bike and jump curbs. He'll try anything. In six years he's broken 1 bone, had tonsils and adnoids out and had to remove molding clay from his ear cause he just wanted to see what would happen. He is a very social boy and is a very good reader. We love you Dylan!

He loves Star Wars! Thanks for protecting us against the clones and Darth Vader my young Jedi.

Dylan likes flag football and will play again this fall. He is a fast little runner.

I loved him in his cute chicken costume! Those sweet toddler days go by too fast.

He still loves his cheetah named Tiger. Everywhere we go Tiger goes also. Dylan you are so precious and sweet we love you! Happy Birthday!

Rise and Shine it's school time!

First day of school!!! It's a good thing they started on a Wednesday so Gordon could help me get them up and out. They got up good it was hard to get them rolling and pictures maybe they'd be happier in their pictures if I took them after school. Parker is now in the 3rd grade.

Dylan is in 1st grade and excited to be able to play at the big kids toys.

Sam is going to our neighborhood pre-school twice a week in the afternoon so he can do itty-bitty ball in the mornings.
He loves his Handy Manny backpack that Gavin gave him. He feels just like a big kid. He says I can come with him. But not Logan he's too little.

In two years we'll have three in the same school and Logan in pre-school. Where does the time go? We do have cute boys!!

My boys at home! What will we do all day?

Well we went to the park after dropping the boys off. We pushed the babies on the swings, they played on the slides then we went home and put the babies down for a nap. Then Gordon and I celebrated the first day of school and a quiet house.

Happy 8th Birthday Parker!

Happy Happy Birthday Parker!!!! We love you! I feel like 8 years old is the first of many milestones to come. 8 is starting to be a busy year. Your not a little kid anymore your a big one and expectations are going to be higher. He has started Cub Scouts and has been having fun and learning lots of things. I'm his den leader and thrilled to be working with him. He is also getting baptized Sept. 4 and I bought him his first suit and real boy tie that Dad is teaching him to tie. The busiest thing so far has been tackle football. Parker was a big baby/toddler and now he has slimmed down to the 25th percent of his age group. He is the smallest boy on the team. I guess that's what happens when your born in August and other kids missed the deadline and are a year ahead in growth. Parker's 1 yr old photo.

Parker you are starting to grow so big Mom and Dad are proud of you. Your brothers love you!

We took Parker and some friends bowling and to play laser tag. Boys running around with laser guns, it just doesn't get any better. They had a blast! My video of bowling was too large to attach and Parker got a strike. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Logan 1 year old!

Happy Birthday Logan!! We can't believe that you are one years old. Where did it go? Logan has been such a joy in our family, he is so sweet and good natured. Having 3 older brothers you need to be able to "roll" with it. The 4th child gets loved a lot, sometimes a little too much. Parker would take him out of his crib in the morning because he didn't want him to cry. Sam and Logan share morning milk together. It reminds me of Parker and Dylan they had their morning milk together too. One had the sippy one had the bottle. I was starting to get worried that Logan wouldn't have any teeth but finally at 11 1/2 months his bottom two teeth popped up. They still aren't fully in but at least you can see them. He is not walking by himself yet and were in no hurry. He does pulls himself up and walks around furniture or he pushes chairs and his baby walker around. Also, he has done the army crawl forever and the boys and I got down on our hands and knees to show him how to crawl on his knees. So he just started this month crawling on his knees.

He loves balls and opening cupboards to yank everything out. He still loves his binkie, snuggling and being rocked before falling asleep. Sometimes in the morning we don't know he's awake because he's sucking on his binkie and has turned on his music toy. Just relaxing and waiting!

He loves the bath and loves to splash.

Sweet Newborn Logan! He looks a lot like Dylan.

I'm glad that this phase of my life is over!!!! One year ago!

But it is worth it to bring such a sweet, precious boy to this Earth! It is a miracle! I will miss that newborn baby smell.

His brothers love him so much and ask me all the time what he is saying. They know only Mama speaks baby! I usually make something up or use it as an opportunity to have something come from Mama via baby.
Logan we love you Happy Birthday!

Legoland and Disneyland

There are just too many pix to choose from. We took 460 pictures. SO here are a very small sample of our Disney trip. It will get easier next time we go. You have to be 7 to ride the rides alone and 54" to help someone younger. So Parker went on the rides alone and Gordy and I traded off taking Sam and Dylan while the other person sat outside the ride with Logan. Gordy and I didn't mind the arrangement but Logan did. He was tired of the stroller after awhile snacks just don't cut it. We had a great time. We did 1 1/2 days at Legoland and 1 day at California adventure and 4 days at Disneyland. Then we spent 1 day with Danny, Danielle and Rosabelle in their beautiful new home. We were BUSY BUSY BUSY!! But worth it to see the smile on the kids faces (especially Sam's) when he saw one of the characters. Mickey, Buzz and Goofy were his favorites. He tried to kiss everyone. They would pat his head and he would say "I love you, you're my buddy." The boys highlight was getting to train in the Jedi academy and fight Darth Vadar with lightsabers.

Logan kept tugging his ears off. Parker preferred the baseball hat to ears this year.

Sam would not top talking about Buzz! The boys were great with him waiting in line to take his pix with the characters.

Happy Birthday Gordon!!

Over 3 decades ago on May 7 Gordon was born. I'm grateful he came into my life and now we have 4 wonderful, loud, busy boys just like their Dad. They work hard and play hard. I love you Gordy! He works hard for his family that this year we are celebrating his birthday in Disneyland and Legoland! He is such a great Dad and husband to us we want him to know we love him!
