Happy 8th Birthday Parker!

Happy Happy Birthday Parker!!!! We love you! I feel like 8 years old is the first of many milestones to come. 8 is starting to be a busy year. Your not a little kid anymore your a big one and expectations are going to be higher. He has started Cub Scouts and has been having fun and learning lots of things. I'm his den leader and thrilled to be working with him. He is also getting baptized Sept. 4 and I bought him his first suit and real boy tie that Dad is teaching him to tie. The busiest thing so far has been tackle football. Parker was a big baby/toddler and now he has slimmed down to the 25th percent of his age group. He is the smallest boy on the team. I guess that's what happens when your born in August and other kids missed the deadline and are a year ahead in growth. Parker's 1 yr old photo.

We took Parker and some friends bowling and to play laser tag. Boys running around with laser guns, it just doesn't get any better. They had a blast! My video of bowling was too large to attach and Parker got a strike. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Parker's 7

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARKER!!!! We can't believe he's 7 and going into 2nd grade. Gordon said he feels old, I'll feel old next year when he get's baptized and starts cub scouts. Parker has been my little helper with his younger brothers. Parker loves to do crafty things, play the Wii with Dylan and to collect Pokemon cards. He just finished coach pitch baseball and is starting soccer this week. He likes all the sports except basketball. The buzzer was too loud.

Baby Parker! He started small 7 lbs 3 oz then he chunked up and became solid. Now at 7 he is still solid but is getting tall.

My sweet boy! He is very caring about other people but as the older brother he thinks it is his birthright to be the boss. But he sure loves his brothers!

Money, Money, Money

Parker thought it was his lucky day when he lost his top tooth. I've been trying to pull both of his top teeth for several days now but no go. We've tried biting apples and tonight he brushed his teeth a little too hard and one fell out. I know Mother's are supposed to be loving and supportive but come on look at his teeth. I had to take a close-up of his "redneck" teeth. I'm saying silent prayers that he will soon loose the other two top jacked up ones. Gordon told him that he would get more money from the tooth fairy if he lost two teeth at once. So here he is trying to get the other money making tooth. The more teeth that come out the more money I get.

IT WORKED!!! The ToothFairy did not forget this time. How much did the ToothFairy give? A $1.25 a tooth. He scored $2.50 that night and bright and early (6:00 A.M.) he was nudging me asking if we could go to the store and buy Pokemon cards.

Oh Happy Day for Parker! He scored, I swear when I was a kid losing my teeth I got a quarter. I guess the government isn't the only one hiking up prices.

The Tooth Fairy

This photo was taken moments after Parker lost his first tooth. He's been playing with it all day and it happened to come out in the car on our way home from the zoo. Gavin and Dylan were yelling "Parker's bleeding" and I almost gave everyone whiplash from swerving to the side so fast. He was so excited to have lost his first tooth and couldn't wait for the weekend to be over to show his friends and teacher. That night I put his tooth in a baggie and I labeled it with the date and how he lost it. I did this because I was talking to my Mom and Dad who where in town for the weekend; and Dad said he has a drawer full of teeth he kept and has no idea what mouth they once belonged in.
Parents who have had children loose teeth what do you do with them after the tooth fairy arrives? Keep them or throw them away? I don't think kids will care to have their baby teeth given back to them as an adult.



Parker put his baggie under his pillow and the next morning he stormed into our room holding up the baggie. Our hearts sank. The tooth fairy forgot. I told him the first tooth his speical and the tooth fairy wants him to keep it. I ran to the purse for his gold dollar and shook his pillow and wallah money appeared. Then all was forgiven. He now has another tooth loose and the tooth fairy said she wouldn't forget this time.

Happy Birthday Parker

The big 6! I can't believe you are six years old. We love you so much. What am I going to do when you go to first grade ALL DAY? I have some good ideas and so does Dylan. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I can't believe he's 6 my once chubby baby now is getting tall and slim.

We are in Boise celebrating with Gordon's parents and sisters. We are going to a children's discovery center today, the boys will decorate their own cupcakes and then if it isn't blazing hot here again then off to the park I found while running last night.
